The corner elements, connected to each other by hinges, provide the ideal barrier between swimming area and regeneration zone. And there are no limits to the imagination, because with this modular construction system the swimming area can be built in any form imaginable. After the corner elements have been set up and connected, the BIOTOP Natural Pool is covered with protective fleece and sealed with the pool liner. Finally the upper ends of the corner elements are covered with a wooden panel. This gives the construction an ecological design and one can sit on the ledge it forms.
The corner elements are produced from environmentally-friendly recycling polyethylene. No wonder this construction method was awarded the ECO Design Prize in 1996, and subsequently was patented in Austria.
