Day 1250 (Beginning of autumn):

The surrounding trees are starting to lose their leaves. In order to prevent falling leaves from getting into the pool a protective net was set up. As the pool is very large this wasn’t easy, but with the help of the entire family the net was put up in roughly three hours. First two ropes were tightened over four wooden t-supports at the pool borders and then the net was pulled across the pool. The net was then secured with tent pegs at the borders. Even though securing the pool is an involved procedure it saves a lot of time in the spring when the wet leaves would have to be fished out of the regeneration zone. The net will be removed before the first frost.
