Soon there will be no space left on Mr. Daldrup’s desk as he has already won the Design Frog King four times with his team from “Daldrup – Your Gardeners from Eden”. This time he designed a paradise for garden lovers for a German family. Apart from the lovely and completely renovated house with brilliant white walls, the task was to design a harmonious and colourful garden. Thus, the garden designer also chose other bright colours as well as a clear, light green for the pool liner. This combination of colours is reminiscent of relaxation and holidays. With the terrace between the house and the pool the family has gained an “outdoor living room” which is connected to the sauna, the spa area and the natural pool. This is the perfect setting to relax from daily stress and get energized. The element water plays the central role in the garden which is a mixture of an intimate spot for the entire family and a representative place for their social life. The seating areas at the pool offer enough space for coffee with friends, a chat at night, parties and cookouts.

Beside the garden’s overall concept the jury was very impressed with the perfect sandstone edging, floor and wall to screen the garden from view. Even the drain, a metal conductor rail fitted between the sandstones, to drain off water from the terrace, was devised to prevent nutrient-rich water from entering the pool. Yet, this would not be the Daldrup company if the employees hadn’t also taken care of the new garden furniture, the matching lighting concept as well as diverse garden accessories. This way a “total work of art” was designed which certainly deserves 1st place.
