Description:
To make its indoor swimming pool "The Wave at Gütersloh" more attractive for its guests, the city of Gütersloh (Nordrhein-Westfalen/Germany) enlarged the sauna area into a 4,000 m² sauna landscape, offering its guests a natural and at the same time modern sauna experience.
Sauna lovers now have at their disposal a Finnish Järve sauna with a natural (vegetation) roof and wood-burning sauna stove, as well as an earth sauna. Afterwards they can cool down in the 800 m² natural pool. The Wave Gütersloh certainly sets a trend for sauna operators. In comparison to a chlorinated pool, construction costs were much lower, and the operating costs also amount to only a fraction of the costs of a traditional pool. Over and beyond that, the natural ambience provides a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere; its chemical-free water offers coolness with no fear of irritation to the eyes.
