Description:
In 1996 Rohrbach was the first community in Burgenland to operate a natural pool. As there are already a number of community pools in the surrounding towns, this new outdoor pool would be set apart from the rest through its special features.
The recreation area was set up on the edge of town next to the tennis courts. The water surface extends over an area of 2.270 m², of which approximately half of it can be used for swimming. The water is filtered through a Plant Filter system, which is situated slightly apart from the natural pool.
Wooden docks, pebble beach, floating island and toddler section provide attractions for young guests, who make their way to Rohrbach from near and far.
Its popularity was the reason for further investments by the community, such as a restaurant with a spacious terrace and a new operational facility building.
