In 2003 Ms Babette Stutz, owner of the guesthouse „Il Poggio“, asked Biotop for some support in terms of the planning and implementation for her dream of an own pool. Ms Stutz wanted to make her guesthouse even more attractive with a pool. She was convinced that a pool would not match the 400 years old house which is situated only 20 kilometers away from the city centre of Florence within the beautiful landscape of Tuscany.
Together with Ms Stutz, Biotop worked on the planning of the pool during the summer in 2003. After the final form of the pool had been decided on, Biotop developed the plans for the excavation and pipelines and made an offer for the necessary technical equipment. Due to these plans Ms Stutz and her technically very skilled partner were able to set up the pool with the support of local companies in 2004.
Since summer 2005 „Il Poggio“ has offered its guests a beautiful natural pool situated within a pine bosk. The guests can refresh themselves in the water with a temperature of 21°C and then stretch out on the stone terraces in the shade.
