Description:
The initial situation on Roswitha Kienlein's property was not a particularly easy one. When the house was built the steep grade was supported by vertically mounted railroad ties. The upper part of the property boasted a lawn with flowers and a small vegetable garden. The lower level consisted of a largely unused shady lawn.
Now a different sight meets the visitor's eye: A generously wide larch deck goes right up to the house and borders the Swimming Area of the pool. A brook bubbles over the pebbled area next to the sun terrace, bringing the water back from the regeneration zone into the Swimming Area. The upper lawn and flower beds remained the same as before construction, and can be reached via wooden steps.
Awarded 3rd place in the "Schöner Wohnen" Garden Contest 2001.
