Description:
The Paatz family wanted some kind of swimming opportunity on their previously unused lawn. Their property is situated on the edge of town and borders directly on open countryside. A Natural Pool was the ideal solution, for a traditional swimming pool would not have fit in with the landscape.
The Swimming Area is separated from the regeneration zone by a wall. In addition to the wooden dock with steps, a "sun deck" for sunbathing was constructed in the middle of the pool, reachable by a ladder.
A ground filter was installed to optimize the water quality. To the joy of the Paatz family the system has functioned perfectly since 1998. The surface skimmer to keep the water surface clean and a small bubbling brook are operated by a pump.
