The beginning of a partnership with three renowned garden and landscaping companies in different countries means that Biotop’s export team is off to an early start in 2009.
With Natural Pools UK, a landscaping garden centre situated east of Manchester, Biotop is strengthening its activities in the U.K.
With its new partner companies Vardakis and Mizumi from Greece and Israel respectively, Biotop will soon discover two new markets.

From January 7-10, 2009 the new natural pool business partners attended their first training session at Biotop Natural Pool headquarters in Weidling near Vienna, which was directed personally by Biotop boss Peter Petrich. In extremely cold weather – very unusual for our guests, who come from more mild climates – the guests not only became acquainted with the know-how from the Biotop Natural Pools Group and the specific market demands, but also were soon exchanging experience in many other areas. Interested questions and lively discussions during these four days showed that the new partners will quickly get their bearings in the natural pool network. After all, one of the group’s strengths is in the quick exchange of knowledge within the network. The training days culminated in signing contracts, which according to tradition took place in the foyer of the Biotop building, where quite a few successful partnerships have been finalized.

All four managers of Natural Pools UK were present for this important moment: Sarah and Will Murch, both passionate landscaping gardeners and architects, and the brothers Andrew and Paul Watkinson, who with their construction company are the ideal supplement to Sarah and Will. Peter Petrich’s enthusiasm during the training was so contagious that Will broke ground for his own personal natural pool immediately after returning home.

Oded Tamir and Lila Peer, both civil engineers, already have valuable experience in building and operating water garden in a special climate. An experience from which the natural pool partner companies in warm regions will soon be able to benefit.

In the same way as with Natural Pools UK, the four members of the Vardarkis company from the island of Crete also complement each other ideally: The group is made up of a civil engineer, one biologist and a businessman. “An old dream of mine is becoming fulfilled,” Mr. Nikostratos Vardakis commented on his anticipation at the signing.

Despite the full training program there was still time to take in a typical Austrian wine tavern. Under the instruction of Sylvie Bangert, Biotop’s French member of the export staff, the new partners discovered Austrian food and wine. After four intensive days, Peter Petrich summarized the good atmosphere: “It was like a visit with good friends.”

In addition Biotop welcomes another new partner, the company Five Valley Landscaping from the Oxford area, the fourth English business partner. This latest partner was not able to take part in the training session in January due to time constraints. The next time “Five Valley Landscaping” will certainly attend. At Biotop the export team is very curious about what other companies will be represented, as international interest in the Biotop Natural Pool system is high.
